"Backwards"

Okay, am I the only one out there who has an 8 week old who LOVES to sleep at night, but does not like to sleep during the day?  I am very confused. This seems completely backwards to me. However, if I have to have a choice I must say that I kind of like this system...., until Monday when I have to start work again from home and my child doesn't like to sleep during the day!
Thoughts anyone??

oh my do i understand! the 20-30 minute naps. just about the time you think they're asleep and you can actually accomplish something, you hear the cry. addie would take 4-5 sometimes 6 thirty minute naps a day. i have no idea when it stopped...6 months maybe 7. BUT...now she's taking 2 well defined naps, sometimes 3...at least an hour each. usually an hr and a half to two hours each. i guess it started when i started laying her down awake and letting her put herself to sleep. although some might say differently, elijah brooks is probably too young for that...they dont get that self-soothing technique until about 4-6 months. the other thing...we started putting her to bed around 7:30...awake and happy vs. cranky and sleepy. great book: healthy sleep habits, happy child. dont take everything to heart you read though...pull out what works for you. and dont dare let any book (or anybody) make you feel like a bad parent for doing or not doing something with your baby (i sure did). it's what works for your family! oh...i'm on a soap box now. i'm working on an email to you! big hugs! and kiss that sweet baby boy for me!
