"Random Summer Fun....."

We have had a wonderful summer so far. We seem to have struck the balance between just enough "away" time, and just enough "home time".  We have been busy and had fun things to do, but have not been overwhelmed or kept the summer schedule too packed. The kids have had plenty of time out of the house, but they have also had plenty of time in the house having some good old fashioned "down time", which is so good for them.

She can "hold her own" with the best of them - a dainty princess one minute, and holding a gun the next!

This boy is growing up right before my eyes. Every morning when he wakes up, I seriously think he looks different. Such a precious treasure we have been given in this child. 

He was so proud of himself for "sticking his landing"!  I was just praying he wouldn't break his leg again! 

She figured out how she could get more bubbles...., turn on the bath jets and voila! 

Her creativity and organizational possibilities are endless. This is what my kitchen floor looks like every day to some degree or another. She is forever sorting, stacking, organizing etc.....

My little helper in the kitchen - she likes to pick her own clothes now (and no, matching is not a requirement in her mind, and most of the time, not a battle I am willing to fight anyway)!  Looks like she was wearing my shoes too :)

Oh Callie girl, you are well loved.  After 13 years, I am really thankful that you have decided being nice and tolerate of anyone other than me, is not such a bad thing!  It's never too late to start loving :)
