"What love is...."

Elijah Brooks loves to sit next to Ellison in the car, so he moved his own booster seat to the middle so he could be next to her. This morning while driving to church I was in my own world, just singing in the car. I heard EB talking to his sister about something, so I turned my music down so that I could hear their conversation.  Here are the words my precious son told his beloved sister :

"Ellison, I love you so much. Even though you bother me sometimes, I still love you. There is nothing you can ever do that will make me stop loving you. That's what mommy and daddy tell me, so now I am telling you the same thing".

I nearly had to pull over on the side of the road my eyes were so blurry.

I am beyond thankful that I was able to hear this beautiful conversation, and hear EB express the love that is in his heart for his sister. Nothing prompted him to say it - it was just an overflow of what was in his heart. "Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks" Luke 6:45

I pray that my children will continue to grow in their love for the Lord, and each other as the years go by.

Isn't it moments like those that refuel you to keep on? Wow! So glad that you had that moment.

Erin I can hear him saying that. He is one amazing little boy. He is 'deep' in his thinking and his understanding. I suppose that is why we adults need to be more child-like and more trusting. Thank you for sharing. Your children are beyond precious, as are Wyatt and Bradford. Beverly and I are so blessed to have them in our lives. Dad
