Jay and I have been trying for months to get away
alone. We are beginning to think that it's just not supposed to happen right now for various reasons. I have lost track of the number of times now that "our" plans have fallen through. But maybe that's just it - they are "our" plans, and not God's. Well about 3 weeks ago, a sweet couple from our church offered us their lake home for a night. Jay and I were supposed to leave the kids and go alone, but it didn't work out. So......., we decided that we are a family and we were going to go anyway and take the kids with us. God blessed us far more than we imagined by giving us 24 hours of happiness and joy. The kids were healthy and happy and had such a wonderful time - and turns out we were glad they were with us! We would have missed these smiles had they stayed behind.

| All he wanted to do was ride the jet ski. We had a tough time for several hours getting it to crank for some reason, but EB had faith in his Daddy and knew he would be able to fix the problem. Here he is waiting so patiently, and probably praying!! |

| Just have to keep snapping pictures of these curls! When she is outside and gets hot, they are so much more apparent. |

So glad you guys were able to get away. Maybe next time it will work out for just the two of you to go:) Looks like y'all had some fun family time though.
