I love Holy Week, and my love for it increases every year as I grow in my relationship with Christ and in my own understanding of the Gospel. I had plenty of time to reflect upon Christ during the week as I quieted my heart before the Lord. My body was in full motion all week long, but my heart was quiet. I am learning that to truly quiet your soul in the midst of a very chaotic world takes a great deal of discipline. I have a long way to go, but am taking baby steps. In between rehearsals each night and singing for multiple services, I was able to capture some fun moments with the kids.

Being silly Saturday morning |

Recently, Ellison has been walking up to EB with her hands held in the air wanting him to pick her up. He loves it, and wants to carry her everywhere. This is usually her face though - she thinks she wanted to be picked up! |
 |
Or this face might be more accurate :) |

Playing happily together - for the moment :) |

This year, my Mom made all 4 grandkids phenomenal Easter baskets. But they weren't your traditional baskets. For the past who knows how many weeks, she has been diligently searching the Scriptures to find certain passages that she could type out on some paper and attach to various items, giving the children a "visual aid" to help them learn more about Jesus. EB was especially proud of this lamb that she made! She made a sugar cookie and then decorated it with marshmallows and attached, "I am the Good Shepherd. The sheep hear my voice and know me". Another fun one was a glow stick that had the verse, "I am the Light of the world" attached to it. Her creativity just amazes me. I wish that I could list every one that she did - they were incredible. |

Easter Egg hunt at church |
 |
Ellison's 1st Egg Hunt! Last year, she was 4 months old and slept through the entire hunt in her Ergo carrier. And for the record, she would have been just fine playing with 1 empty egg the whole time. She was not interested in the hunt in the least bit and kept throwing her basket down! Oh well, still got some cute pictures. |

My baby who looks nothing like a baby in this picture! |

More backyard fun that afternoon at home |

14 1/2 months already climbing the ladder. Not surprised. We have had many near misses already in her short life. The girl is fearless. |

These 2 make me smile |

Pure bliss! |
 |
We decided to give the kids their Easter baskets late that afternoon. Easter Sunday's are always so busy for our family, so we wanted to do it at a time when they wouldn't be rushed. |
 |
She got some new "Angel Bands" (bandaids with angels and bible verses on them), in her basket. Thought that might be appropriate for our little fearless one. |
 |
And of course, that evening EB and I made our traditional, "Resurrection Buns" together. Made so much more sense to him this year. I pretty much just let him make them all by himself this year, which he enjoyed. I tried to be as "hands off" as I could. |
 |
And as a result, they were SWIMMING in butter! Oh well. He had a great time...., and they were pretty tasty :) |
