"Thanksgiving 2012"

This year, Jay's family was able to join us at our home for Thanksgiving. His parents drove 10 hours one way from South Carolina, and his sister and her family drove 10 hours one way from South Florida - and met us in Alabama. There was nearly 40 hours of driving between them for a 4 day weekend, but we had a wonderful time being together, and we appreciated their sacrifice so much.  We aren't able to spend time with them like we would all like to because of the distance, but when we are together, it's like no time has ever passed. We always pick up right where we left off. This was the first time his sister and her family had met Ellison - and it was a wonderful first meeting! She was happy and healthy the whole weekend which was so wonderful. Elijah Brooks played non-stop with his big cousin Parker (who quite possibly might be one of the sweetest boys I have ever met).  He was so amazing with EB. He played with him for 3 days solid, took care of him, read his bedtime stories to him, helped get his bed ready, taught him how to wrestle and tackle, played puzzles with him, listened to music with him, helped give him a bath etc..... He was just fantastic.  And Makenzie, was an awesome big cousin, especially to Ellison.  She helped me so much with her.  She is 12 years old and is at a great age to start learning how to take care of babies. She gave her a bath every night, read her bedtime stories to her, and gave her a bottle each night. She helped me so much and I miss her already. She is also learning her way around a kitchen, so she helped us with the Thanksgiving meal and made her famous, "monkey bread"!

Here are many pictures from the weekend. They pretty much speak for themselves!

She is more of a "ball girl" than EB is a "ball boy". The girl loves balls!
