"God's Beauty"....

I have always been fascinated with the sky, for as long as I can remember. The sky says so much to me, and is such an amazing manifestation of God's glory and His beauty.  Scripture speaks often of the sky in so many various references. I wish I had had my camera the other night as I took a walk at dusk.  There were black, ominous clouds hanging very low above my head - almost as if I could reach up and touch them. This was very symbolic in my own heart and mind for various reasons.  YET, just above these ominous and low hanging clouds, was light shining just above.  It was a faint light, as it was nearly dark, but there was light. And then I looked over to the right, and there was a huge black cloud in the shape of a circle.  However, inside the circle of darkness was a ball of light - a true ball - that took up the entire space of the larger circle.  I had to stop walking and just stare at it, trying to take it all in. My heart was very heavy that evening, and it was as if the LORD was telling me, "Erin, see, I am with you. I am inside of the darkness, yet my light is still visible if you will just look for it. I am still in the cloud with you".  Even the Israelites knew that God was in the cloud that went before them.  No matter what darkness you are facing right now in your own life, know that the darkness will not last forever - there is light even in the darkness.  God is still with you, just as He is with my own family right now as we walk a difficult road.  I wish I had a picture of this image, but I don't so hopefully my explanation is good enough!

"Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, drive the dark of night away. Giver of Immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day".

These other images are just some snapshots of the sky that I took recently - no stories behind these, except for the beauty and majesty of Our Creator - and that is plenty story enough.
