"Random act of kindness"....

Every now and then, my kids will surprise me with kindness that knocks me off my feet - and it usually comes after they have had a day of fighting with each other!  Today, Elijah fell off his scooter on the driveway and busted up his knee pretty badly. I knew when he took a shower, it was going to hurt really bad, but he was filthy after a day of playing outside and his knee needed to be rinsed off. We decided to do a super fast shower and get in and out as fast as he could. Well, poor guy cried and cried in the shower - Ellison was in the bathroom with us, or so I thought she was. I realized she had left the room and came back in a few minutes later holding his pajamas and clean underwear!  I asked her where she went and she said, "I went upstairs to get brother's jammies so he wouldn't have to walk the the stairs with his hurt knee"!  So precious, and so thoughtful of her to do something like that without any direction or even a hint from us.
