Today, Elijah Brooks and I went to Kindermusik class together. This is a picture of him before we left the house, "warming up his vocal cords"! He is the only boy in his class and now has 7 new girlfriends. We danced, sang, bounced, did a "stop/go" activity, read a book, and he even held my hand as we walked around the circle. He looked like such a big boy walking in the circle. He is the oldest one in his class, but they don't move the kids to the next class until they are 18 months - so we'll just stay put for this semester. It actually works out just fine - we just adjust and get creative and do the same activities but adapt them for his age/stage. Fortunately, I used to teach Kindermusik so I know how to adapt the activities based on the age level of the child. I had to pull him away from the trashcan a few times, and he pulled down the lyric sheets off the wall - but other than that, he did great!! That's okay, at least he didn't poke the eyes of a little 4 month old baby like another child did...., well, at least not this week!

He is SUCH a cutie!! That is really amazing that he is so vocal at this age. Most boys don't talk that early. Your posts are so sweet and make me want that time back when it was just me and my sweet little Will. Don't get me wrong, I love both of my boys but this is just the sweetest time ever (before the fits and strong wills) come in to play. The best advice I can give is to just cherish this time with him and not rush to have a second baby fast. I know that is none of my business, but it is so hard with two somedays! I had one of those today and your last post really put things into perspective for me and I've thought about it alot! THank you!! I can't believe he weighs 28 lbs! He doesn't look that big in pictures. The reason I say that is that Walker almost weighed 28 lbs at 20 months and he is a BIG chubby boy. Elijah Brooks must be tall and solid. Hope you are liking Montgomery and getting adjusted. I'm sure it's wonderful to be so close to your parents and friends. Where do y'all live in M?
Yay! Glad you all are doing kindermusik now! Just wait til he starts throwing the egg shakers in class! That's what I'm dealing with at the moment.
